While Antonio Brown is awaiting a ruling on his second grievance against the NFL concerning his helmet, Raider fans are anxiously waiting to see what Brown will do if he loses the appeal.
However, for what it’s worth, it seems like the helmet circus might lastly be pertaining to an end. According to Brown’s agent, this time AB will remain with the team and utilize an approved helmet if he is rejected his outdated helmet once again.
Particularly, this is what Drew Rosenhaus informed ESPN on Wednesday:
“[Antonio] is figured out to play this year, and what we’re attempting to do is get him in the best devices possible. He believes, and we believe that the helmet he has actually worn for nine years, he’s had unrivaled production throughout those nine years, that it’s imperative for us to continue with that helmet since that it is what has actually kept him safe.
We understand these brand-new rules. We hear on the screening and we’re not contesting it. That may be great for every other player, but this is something that has worked so well for him and we wish to keep that consistency and that security.
We’ll exhaust that procedure but, if it doesn’t work out, so be it. A minimum of we can state we attempted whatever possible, and he’ll move on and make it deal with an approved helmet.”
After an encouraging statement like that, it’s all smooth sailing from here … right?
